after coffee

I suppose its always after coffee.
New worms today so a little outing in the afternoon say a near empty basket until a little Tailor came ashore with worm in mouth disease. He was released and is back out there telling all his mates what its like on land. If only they knew eh!
Funny how we really believe we are in charge when we hunt. Actually its just a great form of meditation. Leave it to bigger energy forces and the catching thing will happen.
Next morning now and a nice little Whiting for the pan. Amazing morning. Still, a little fog, and a very good crowd of social walkers ... alll surprised that fish are actually caught. Does that mirror some condescending behaviour? I wonder.

Welcome

Thought I'd avago you know.
For many years I've known of the 'blog' and now it could be that I'm having my own blog. Sort a like going out to the thunder box for a think and a read.
The older I get it seems the simpler life should be. I fish and swim and surf most mornings and fish most afternoons. Two whiting last night none this morning. Worms are off I think. Which springs to mind that this could be a good place to have a fishing journal, swimming journal, surfing journal, life journal.
My old mate Barry on Bondi Beach has fished there since 1958 and has a journal of every days' fishing ... 700 whiting last year ... yes 700! Go Bazza. He knows when they come on and for how long, the tide the bloody everything and the bloody worms ... those queensland blood worms ... are gold ... dont tell anyone though.
But its all in the feel you know. I got this new rod a few months back .. a ten footer ... as soft as and a bit rediculous for surf beach fishing but i think its ideal. Just get the right lead for the job and there's not many days where a fish will swim by your blood worm.
The thrill of a tight line eh! The sizzle of a fresh fish in the pan on the barbie. Fed four on Monday from the morning's catch. Oil and a little butter in the pan. Lightly over. Concockted a sauce of garlic and ginger and a million other goodies to go over the top, a crisp little Riesling ... its alright down here on the south coast of NSW in the land of the downunder.
Gotta go the coffee is ready.
